Chris is a full time composer and multi-instrumentalist with a classical and jazz training. Having signed a wide variety of genres including Big Band, Hip Hop, Traditional Country, Hard Rock, Reggae, Middle Eastern, Surf Guitar, and more…it’s fair to say Chris has an exciting and diverse catalogue of music.
Chris has his music in several high end music library catalogues and has had placements worldwide. With Chris’ music comes the assurance of quality, quantity and speed of production. While able to meet the tightest of deadlines, Chris is never short of ideas and inspiration for tracks, whether it’s writing to briefs, or developing his own concepts and albums.
Chris studied guitar and drums at the prestigious Chetham’s School of Music, Manchester, before reading Music Technology at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff. This gave Chris a solid foundation on which to build his career as a composer, producer and performer.
During his time as a music teacher, Chris not only demonstrated his own skills, but also inspired his students to maximise their potential, and unleash the full capability of each instrument he taught. Chris has a deep understanding of music theory and is able to tease the magic out of many instruments. Chris’ main disciplines are drums, guitar and bass, but also plays piano, lap steel, banjo, ukulele and hand percussion. He is also a very capable vocalist.
Besides music, Chris’ favourite pastime is traveling around the USA with his wife and son. He has a love for jokes and one liners, and where appropriate he likes to incorporate his sense of humour in his music. Chris has challenged himself to run 500km over the course of the year and is doing really well. At the time of writing, the year is almost up, and there’s just over 400km to go! Even when he’s off the clock, Chris is always thinking up new musical ideas and concepts for future albums, and you will often find him sketching out a new tune, even in the most unusual of places!
